Senoble

The company was established in 1921 by Sophie SENOBLE (Great Grandmother of the current chairman, Marc SENOBLE) and is still 100% owned by the family.

What started off as a small farm in Burgundy, 80 years later has turned itself into one of the major players within the European Fresh Dairy Market.

1921: Sophie Senoble set up cheese manufacturing in Jouy (100 km South East of Paris). At this time Senoble produced only cheese (Camembert & Brie) and butter.

1945: André Senoble expanded the business from a small local cheese manufacturer into a much larger cheese manufacturing operation.

1980: Claude Senoble made the decision to convert the business from cheese manufacture to a modern short life dairy products company - yoghurts, fromage frais and dairy desserts. He developed partnerships with the key French retailers and built a strong franchise supplying retailers' own brands.

2002: Marc Senoble initiated a more ambitious European expansion strategy and built one of Europe's most sophisticated fresh dairy plants on a green-field site in Spain in partnership with Spanish multiple retailer Mercadonna.

2005: Senoble acquired a Slovakian dairy operation and converted it to fresh dairy product manufacture.

2007: Senoble acquired Elisabeth the Chef The rest, as the saying goes, is history...
